Free online timer with alarm

This free online timer is a full-screen countdown timer that runs right in your browser — no app to download and no sign-up. Choose a preset or type your own hours, minutes and seconds, press Start, and it counts down to zero and rings an alarm. It even keeps counting and shows the time left in the browser tab if you switch away, then alerts you with a sound and a notification when time is up.

Popular choices: the 5-minute timer, 10-minute timer, 15-minute timer, 20-minute timer and the 25-minute Pomodoro timer.

How to set a timer

1. Pick a preset, or type the hours, minutes and seconds you want and press Set.
2. Press Start to begin the countdown. Use Pause to hold it, or Reset to start over.
3. Add time on the fly with +1 min / +5 min, or trim it with −1 min.
4. When it reaches zero you will hear the alarm and get a notification. Choose the sound, repeat and what happens on zero under Timer options.
