About SERP previews
This tool previews how your page may appear in Google search results, on both desktop and mobile. You edit the title, URL and description and see a realistic snippet, truncated by pixel width the way Google does, with character counts as a guide. It runs in your browser.
How SERP Snippet Preview works
How to use it
- Enter your title, URL and meta description.
- Switch between desktop and mobile.
- Adjust the text until nothing important is cut off.
Why pixel width matters
Google does not truncate snippets by character count but by pixel width — roughly 580 pixels for desktop titles and a wider limit for descriptions. Because wide letters take more space than narrow ones, this tool measures the actual rendered width and trims the preview where Google likely would.
Good to know
The preview is a close guide, but Google often rewrites titles and descriptions or pulls text from the page, so the live result can differ.
