A GPS speedometer for running
A GPS running speedometer with the dial scaled to 30 km/h (20 mph), so running and jogging speeds fill the gauge. See your current pace as a speed in km/h or mph, plus your top and average speed for the run — no sports watch needed, just your phone. Everything runs on your device; nothing is uploaded.
How Running Speedometer works
Speed and pace
This shows running speed (distance per hour). To convert to the pace runners often use: pace in minutes per kilometre = 60 ÷ speed in km/h. So 12 km/h is a 5:00 min/km pace, and 10 km/h is 6:00 min/km.
Tips for runs
- Carry the phone in an arm strap or hand for a steady signal.
- Start tracking before you set off and allow location access.
- Run outdoors with a clear view of the sky; GPS is unreliable on a treadmill indoors.

Frequently asked questions
How do I turn speed into pace?
Divide 60 by your speed in km/h: 12 km/h is a 5:00 min/km pace.
Do I need a running watch?
No — your phone GPS is enough to track speed and average.
Does it work on a treadmill?
No — GPS needs to detect real movement outdoors, so treadmills will not register.
How accurate is it?
Outdoors with a clear sky it is accurate to within about 1 km/h.
Is my run data uploaded?
No — it stays on your device.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free.
