Recycling Symbols — Plastic Codes 1–7

These recycling symbols (resin identification codes) are the numbers 1–7 inside the recycling triangle on plastics. They tell you the type of plastic and how recyclable it is.

6PSPolystyrene — foam cups, cutlery
7OTHERMixed/other plastics (e.g. polycarbonate)

Codes 1 and 2 are the most widely recycled; 3, 6 and 7 are the hardest to recycle.
